Historic Ashland Amphitheater

Residential landscapes can take many forms. For the owners of this Ashland residence, creating an area to entertain pre-show parties for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival was the guiding principle. Theatrical parties require an amphitheater for performance. This was accomplished by creating brick capped concrete walls that lead down to a circular greatlawn. Formal plantings are mixed with native medley, creating a varied palette of interest through all seasons.
